"Golden Prairie" Handcrafted Calendula soap bar is packed with antioxidants and skin loving ingredients. It was made with coconut, avocado, calendula infused olive oil, shea and castor oils. Enriched with bentonite clay. The sea salt was dissolved in water tea and mixed with sodium hydroxide to create this purifying and detoxifying soap. Excellent for oily to normal skin. It was scented with a blend of essential oils including Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Cedarwood and Rosemary.

Calendula had been considered beneficial in reducing inflammation and promoting wound healing. This Soleseife raw soap is a traditional German soap (also known as salt water brine soap) made from dissolving sea salt into water to make the soap, creating a luxurious, creamy bar of salt water soap with excellent lather. It is a favorite of European spas for its nourishing and hydrating qualities. Soleseife soap is different than regular salt bar soaps because the salt is dissolved into the water prior to mixing it into the soap batter.

The "Golden Prairie" Handcrafted herbal soap has been created by the Cold Process soap-making method. This soap is unrefined and unheated, as no additional heat is used to speed the process of saponification. We mix our lye solution with plant based oils and pour them into a mold. This process retains the natural glycerin of the soap, allowing it to clean thoroughly without drying out the skin. After the soap has set, we then cut it by hand into bars, and allow it to cure for 4-6 weeks. This curing stage allows excess water to evaporate, leaving a harder, longer lasting bar of handmade artisan soap.

*To extend the life of your soap, place your soap in a dish with drainage slots and allow to fully dry between uses.

We use the traditional cold process method in the creation of our soaps. All soaps are made from scratch in small batches. Since our bars are hand crafted and hand cut, each one may differ slightly in appearance from those pictured and will be truly unique.
